Hello, I'm looking for a partner for PG Sunnyvale after work mostly. We can talk about trips, other gyms, and bouldering too. I'm projecting 5.12 and really need to practice leading. --Travis

So today I find out that the papers are being UPS'ed to me tomorrow from the Secretary of State. This is really dragging on. Next time, I think I do it all myself and not bother with a "service".

REI

Man those climbing gyms are pricey. I can't stand the idea of forking out for some indoor lycrafest. I guess I am just cheap, or maybeI just want to limit the amount of public humiliation I endure. so I put all the money I would have spent at an indoor wall buying a bit more gear. almost 400 bucks at REI, but I got a harness that fits, a rope, a dozen slings, and even a cool chalkbag. so I am ready to go out !! scared but stoked too, maybe choogle on up valley way next week, no partner yet, but… Continue

Before the start

Hi and welcome. I think it would be cool to chronicle my return to climbing. I was an avid climber during the mid '80's. I got introduced to it by the husband of a friend of my girlfriend. We hit it off and would go out climbing every chance we could. He was the better climber, but I had my moments. During that time, he got divorced, and I split up with my girlfriend, but we kept climbing. We also got stoned a lot. In June of '88 we got very high indeed on the Nose of El Cap. Unfortunately, the… Continue

The Great Outdoors

I find myself longing for trees and rock faces. These concrete walls stacked with people are claustrophobic at times. I miss the long expanse of Mountain views, the valleys in between filled with lakes, rolling hills, grass, and trees. Knowing there is nothing for miles and miles.

I have four day weekends for the next 11 weeks, and then 3 weeks of complete freedom. I've got to get into some trips. Red Rocks, City of Rocks, Smith Rock, Lover's Leap.

Been way too long.

Well it has been way too long since I checked out the site. I would like to say that it was because I have been
so caught up in climbing but in truth I have just been lazy.

The good news is that I have been able to climb a little (most recently in Yosemite) and I will be working in the Yosemite area for the next few weeks. (I hope to get some more weekday sessions in).

That is it for now just wanted to let everyone know that I wasn't ignoring them just haven't been on the net that much.

Hit m… Continue
